Angus Logs supply guaranteed dry logs.  Logs are cut to 9-10” or longer to order, from quality hardwoods including beech, oak, ash, elm, sycamore and birch, and larch, producing fuel with a high calorific value, perfect for woodburning stoves or open fires.

The heat produced from burning logs varies enormously – the cheapest is not necessarily the best value, but you don’t always get what you pay for!  To make sure you are getting the best value for your money, see our page FAQ which explains the important questions you need to consider.

All our logs are air dried naturally for as long as possible. In order to guarantee our logs, they are then further dried under heat to ensure that they are fully dried, burning the bark and sawdust produced during the log production to provide as much of the heat as possible.

We have burned our own logs in woodburners and on open fires for twenty five years and will be able to help you choose what is best for your situation.

All logs are cut from sustainable sources, either managed plantations or windblown timber. All trees to be felled are individually selected as part of a management programme to improve the woodland for biodiversity and subsequent timber production, preserving trees most valuable for nesting birds and other wildlife. Woodlands are managed to provide a sustainable harvest through coppicing, thinning, felling and the planting of new trees.
